We Are A Chula Vista Plumber You Can Trust – Here’s Why
- It is tough to get hired at Colepepper as a plumber. We get so many applicants for our Plumber Chula Vista position, and many are turned down. Out of every 100 applicants, we will talk to about 5. From that 5, we will hire one. That one applicant has to make it through a 90-day probationary period that includes over 200 hours of video content 60 hours of classroom training, and the remainder of their time is spent riding along with our other plumbers. If they make it past this point, you will see them in your home in Chula Vista, smiling and ready to fix your plumbing.
- Our Chula Vista plumbers will not be dirty and smelly when they come to your home. Our local plumbers are working around the clock, and they always have a fresh set of uniforms they can change into if they get stuck on a dirty job. When they shake your hand at the front door, their hand will be clean and sanitized. Our plumbers will not be tracking in any gross messes from the previous job they went to.
- We will perform a complimentary water test at your home. Did you know that the number one cause of plumbing failures is poor water quality? Chula Vista has some of the worst water in the entire country. It is full of things like chlorine and ammonia. These chemicals destroy your plumbing. We will verify this for you when you call us to your home, and we perform our free water test. If you want to know more about what is in your water, you can go to ewg.org to see a list of all the contaminants in your water.
- We will work with your insurance company to help cover the plumbing bill. Most plumbing jobs are not covered under insurance. However, if you are looking for a Chula Vista plumbing company that will work with your insurance, we are that company! We will do everything in our power to get your large plumbing job covered and reimbursed to you through insurance. The insurance companies will usually only compensate for damage caused by the plumbing leak and for access to the plumbing leak itself.
- We are a Chula Vista plumbing company that puts our work in writing. That way, there is no confusion as to which work we are doing. Some companies will give you a verbal description of their work. You will then find out later that they did not do the job they said they did. Our 24/7 Chula Vista plumbers will write out precisely what they will do before they begin the work. They will present the work to you in writing and then have you sign off. You will receive a copy of the invoice after the work is done for your records.
“Backyard drains were not draining at all. Lived at house 14 years and they have been a little slow in the past, but with the recent rain it’s been a lake out back. Able to schedule appointment for the next day. Friendly. Easy to communicate with phone or text. When a piece of equipment was delayed, received text update about the delay. Ended up having to go with the hydrojet service…but with yard debris, a dog in backyard, and 14 years of use or more…..it made sense. Glad we did it. Would use Colepepper’s services again.”

A Brief Story On How One Of Our Chula Vista Plumbers Fixed A Clogged Kitchen Drain
Amy called us on Tuesday afternoon and explained that her kitchen drain was over 100 years old (her home was built in 1912). She continuously had to keep snaking the drain line, a few times a year, which was becoming burdensome on her pocketbook and on her tenants, who had to keep bugging her to get the plumber out.
It dawned on her that perhaps she needed a long-term solution. So she asked her plumber at the time what that would be. He recommended hydro jetting the line, which is a high-pressure wash of the line that blows all of the internal gunk out into the city sewer.
So that is what she did. A few weeks later, she got a call back from the tenants that the kitchen drain line was leaking in the crawl space. She called the plumber back out to see what was going on. He told her that the kitchen drain line had holes in it and needed to be replaced.
She asked him, why didn’t we just do that in the first place? He replied that she never said that she wanted to.
Frustrated with her plumber’s lack of communication, she went online, typed in “Best Chula Vista Plumber,” and found us.
We came out to give her a free on-site estimate. We quickly determined that the kitchen drain line was indeed original to the house and needed to be replaced. We also noticed her other drain lines in the crawl space were in similar condition, and we made a recommendation to replace those while we were down there before they caused a flood.
She was frustrated at her old plumber. She was mad that she had to replace all of her pipes and spend more money in an endless money pit of a rental property. But she knew that we were right in our assessment, in our price, and she trusted us to get it done.
One week later, she had all new drains installed in her rental property, a signed permit that passed inspection with the city, and happy tenants.
When it was all said and done, she told our plumbers that she wished she would have just called us the first time.
A Message From Our President – Mitch Kenney
I’m a 3rd generation plumber. I wanted to avoid getting into plumbing and following my Dad and Grandpa, but it bet going to college at the time! Over the years, I have grown to love the plumbing industry.
I have a wife and three kids who i spend most of my free time with.
We like to do a lot of outdoor activities in our free time, like skiing, surfing, fly fishing, golfing, etc.
I was born and raised in Colorado, so I am a diehard Colorado/Denver sports fan (please don’t hate me).
I stick to plumbing. It is what I am good at.
I have tried to fix things around my house. Plumbing is the only thing I am good at. So, if it is not plumbing-related, I hire it out.
I’ve had my share of bad contractors and service over the years.
I know what getting taken advantage of and lied to is like. Contractors have cursed at me and left messes.
They showed up late.
They did not do the work they were hired to do,
They got it wrong time after time, and so on.
And it is not fun!
We teach our plumbers the technical side of plumbing
We also teach them the people and customer service side of the business. We could do the best plumbing job in the world, but I’m sure you wouldn’t be happy if we left a mess behind and were late.
I know there are a lot of plumbing businesses in Carlsbad you can choose from, so I encourage you to give us a shot.
We will provide the best customer service.
We will clean up our mess, treat you respectfully and courteously, and be honest. And if there is a rare time when we drop the ball, we will own up to it immediately.
